Potomac Photonics Adds Coherent Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) laser to Contract Laser Micromachining Unit
Lanham, Maryland, January 12 2011 -Potomac Photonics is pleased to announce the installation of a new Coherent DPSS laser in its contract laser micromachining unit. With the addition of this laser, Potomac now has eight (8) DPSS lasers to complement its other production tools that include, Excimer lasers, YAG lasers, Fiber laser, CO2 laser and CNC micro tools.
DPSS lasers are suitable for rapid prototyping and production of miniature parts. The new laser has been integrated on a system with a SCANLAB galvanometer for high speed drilling, cutting and patterning of features as small as 2 microns.
Customers in various industries such as medical, biotech, solar and electronics will be able to Email their drawings to Potomac and have their parts made quickly and cost-effectively.
