Potomac Photonics is pleased to announce that it has added a new laser system to its contract manufacturing division that is capable of machining feature sizes as small as 1 micron in Kapton (polyimide) materials at a very high rate of speed. For ultimate flexibility in handling a wide array of applications such as via hole drilling, precision patterning, excision, and selective removal, the system is equipped with both a high speed galvanometer and direct-write stationary optics. Utilizing Potomac’s CAD to FAB technology, it is ideal for both prototyping and production, lead-times as fast as 24 hours can be realized for high precision products for the Medical Device, Biotech, Automotive and Electronics industries.
