Thanksgiving is a time to pause and appreciate the special aspects of our lives.  Despite the recent contentious election, we at Potomac believe there is much for which to be thankful in this great country that leads the world in innovation. Of course, none of our technological accomplishments would be possible without the creativity and ingenuity of our people.  First and foremost, Potomac is thankful for the many people that have enabled us to achieve so much in advanced manufacturing.  Here are just a few of the people we’d like to single out for Thanks this year.

Our Team

Thankful for Potomac Team

Thankful for our team!

Any organization is only as good as the people who execute tasks, large and small, day in and day out, with unfailing attention to the highest levels of quality.  From the operators who run parts to the production managers who ensure on-time delivery to the QC team and shipping department, it’s Potomac’s people who manufacture and deliver next generation biotech and medical devices, microfluidics, consumer products, displays, and microelectronics. From rapid prototyping to long production runs, Potomac’s manufacturing team understands our customers’ needs and strives everyday to exceed expectations in everything we do.

Potomac’s R&D and engineering management team is continually pushing the envelope of laser and CNC micromachining, 3D Printing, and assembly technologies in order to meet the challenges of our customers’ most daunting advanced manufacturing challenges.  Innovation is a hallmark of Potomac’s long history, and our investment in R&D continues as we hire creative young engineers to lead our process development work.

Our Customers

Thankful for our customers!

Thankful for our customers!

Potomac is especially grateful not just for the work our customers bring to us, but also the opportunity to expand our capabilities in unexpected directions.  From big name consumer products companies to highly innovative startups, our customers drive our internal innovation in order for new products to get to market faster, with more reliability and at less cost.

It is the ability to help mankind that makes our work especially rewarding.  Our customers have taken us from the brink of new cancer cures to the far reaches of space exploration.  Personalized medicine and targeted drug therapies will someday ensure healthier outcomes for patients and we are grateful to play a small part in these medical advances.

Our Partners

Potomac is thankful to work in an inspiring technology community at BW Tech South, which affords us collaboration with faculty, researchers and students at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Thankful for our partners!

Thankful for our partners!

Our student internship program with Fab Lab Baltimore at the Community College of Baltimore County has given us access to talent that is prepared for digital fabrication work through project-based, hands-on STEM education.  Baltimore County has been particularly welcoming to our advanced manufacturing expertise and we appreciate the opportunities to share our stories and expand opportunities in the area.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s clear it takes many people to create a successful manufacturing company.  To all who contribute on the Potomac advanced manufacturing journey of excellence, we say, “Thank you”!
